ceramics auction on ebay - raising money for the Queensland flood victims

Vipoo kindly has arranged this awesome event- pls get involved everyone!!

Hello everyone!

I was so moved by the flooding tragedy in
QLD that I am organising a ceramic auction to raise funds for the
Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal.

My call out for artists
to donate a piece was responded to very well ... overwhelmingly in fact.
Artists from all over Australia donated their work for this auction.
Some artists come from as far as USA and Canada!

The auction will happen online at ebay.com.au Starting from 9.00 pm on Thursday 3 Feb and finish on Sunday 6th Feb at 9.00 pm

You can see a preview of the work at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=272770&id=575149884&l=1fbbab1d0b

or visit my website and follow the link www.vipoo.com
To be notified when the auction is online please email with the word 'Auction' as a subject.

Starting bids are at the discretion of the donor artist and will range from AUS $20 upwards.

Please kindly help me promote the auction to anyone you know that
might be interested in the auction.

this auction successful!

humidity kills creativity!!

It is so uncomfortably humid here at the moment it is hard to be creative :( my mind has a lot of ideas and I just cant get motivated to bring them to be.
I did get a Giffin Grip for Christmas (a great tool to make trimming less stressful) and I assembled it today lol
Thats about as much as I've done in the studio for 3 days.

Exhibition happening soon

I have included the details of an exhibition in February I am part of at Stonehouse Gallery in Warrendyte. I'm so excited to see all the grad students work.
Today I shopped at my favourite supplies store- Potters Equipment in Ringwood- and a lady came and introduced herself after hearing my name mentioned and she is organising the show at Stonehouse. Marymae and I had emailed each other a few times but it was great to put a face to the name and have a chat about the exhibition and Stonehouses history.

studio is open!!

I am back in the studio after all the 'busyness' of Christmas and New Year family, friends, food and frollicking.
The kiln is firing at the moment with some great little earthenware bowls painted in a very 60's retro design. Base colours are lime, orange, chocolate & yellow with daisies and swirls in grey, white & black. Cant wait to see them emerge. As an old ex hippie girl who cant take that design period out of the portfolio.
Porcelain lidded containers are also in the process with luscious white slip surface decoration, as well as a series of little houses imprinted with texture and painted with colour.
Over the next weeks I will get photos up.
